As the delayed UEFA Euro 2020 tournament finally gets underway, it seems the whole of Europe has gone football mad, including Aries x Umbro! developed with football in mind, this collab celebrates retro England kits of the past and gives them a contemporary refresh.
Any fans of the beautiful game will recognise the importance Umbro has within English football. Not only did the partnership span 60 years in total but it also saw a variety of historic moments including England’s win of the 1966 world cup.

The collection features a variety of retro-inspired pieces all of which have been given a makeover with a selection of pixelated graphics and bold prints. alongside this, a varied colour palette formed of light blue, red, black, white and red tones selectively adorns the garments.
With Aries being a female-led brand, founder Sofia Prantera says this collaboration “offers a different perspective from conventional football partnerships”, which makes sense as the sport is typically a male-dominated affair.
The collaboration is set to drop on June 24th at Aries’ webstore and selected retailers, and the question we have in our mind is – how long until we see a few of our young boys in the English national team wearing it?
